Michas' experienced personnel troubleshoots customer freezing system; system runs efficiently and effectively for 6 years and counting

Issue: Customer was having operational difficulty with a new freezing system; and the vendor was unable to find a solution to make the system work. The customer was not only spending money on the unused line but was not able to produce product to meet their customer's needs. With the customer's account in the balance, Michas Systems was hired to drive a solution to the many issues they were experiencing.

Inspection: Michas Systems went onsite to asses the problem. We observed construction issues with the system, alignment issues with the drives, poorly set up controls, and mishandling of the raw product into the freezer due to an ineffective conveyor. With all of these problems, perhaps the most vital was the discovery that there wasn't enough airflow through the freezer to do the job.

Solution: Michas Systems sent a crew onsite to repair misalignments on drives and roller chains. We also build a support shoe to keep roller chains from sagging. New higher horsepower fans were installed in existing system for more airflow. We fixed the sagging rails and set the speeds on the system correctly.

Result: Customer was able to run the system with effective results, this system has been providing quality production now for 6 years.
