Michas rebuilds and installs freezer saving Customer 40% on a new system
Issue: Customer could not afford a new freezing system but still wanted turn key responsibility from a vendor with the background and credentials to build a successful rebuild system.
Solution: Michas located a used spiral freezer and rebuilt the equipment to suit the customer’s process which included
- New bearings, new rollerchins, rebuilt gearbox
- Upgraded control panel
- Re-pitch tiers for additional clearance and change configuration of infeed and exits
- Add belt washer
- All new wearstrip
- New enclosure with doors and baffle
- Rebuilt compressors, recirculator, and condenser with upgraded controls
- All new shafts and bearings
Result: Customer was able to have a totally rebuilt freezer installed with many new parts and save 40% on a new system which amounted to over $300,000. While the system was a combination of new and used we covered the warrantees and built a freezer that has operated successfully for over 6 years.
