Michas rebuilds and installs freezer saving Customer 40% on a new system

Issue: Customer could not afford a new freezing system but still wanted turn key responsibility from a vendor with the background and credentials to build a successful rebuild system.

Solution: Michas located a used spiral freezer and rebuilt the equipment to suit the customer’s process which included

• New bearings, new rollerchins, rebuilt gearbox
• Upgraded control panel
• Re-pitch tiers for additional clearance and change configuration of infeed and exits
• Add belt washer
• All new wearstrip
• New enclosure with doors and baffle
• Rebuilt compressors, recirculator, and condenser with upgraded controls
• All new shafts and bearings

Result: Customer was able to have a totally rebuilt freezer installed with many new parts and save 40% on a new system which amounted to over $300,000. While the system was a combination of new and used we covered the warrantees and built a freezer that has operated successfully for over 6 years.
